Dear BTG Students, Community, and Supporters,

The 2021 recruitment cycle has concluded, and BTG saw overwhelmingly positive results. I am in complete awe of all that our organization and students have accomplished in just eleven short months.

Before we get into the numbers, I must express my sincere gratitude to each of you. When founding BTG, we envisioned building a great organization that would have a positive impact on the world; what we have built, however, has amounted to something far greater than any of the co-founders had anticipated — an organization well on our way to becoming our nation’s premier, student group diversifying the business community and promoting economic mobility.

The great success of BTG would not have been possible without the students who believed in us as an up-and-coming organization, the avid supporters who have rooted us on from the beginning, and all of the professionals, recruiters, and advocates who have shown unwavering commitment to our success. Thank you, everyone, for your role in making BTG the organization it is today!

The #BTGFamily:

About Us: BTG Consulting — Fall 2021

Consulting Placement:

Overall, BTG students achieved an astounding 80% placement rate at Big 3 consulting firms — McKinsey, BCG, and Bain — compared to an ~1% acceptance rate for these firms. Similarly, at Big 4 consulting firms, — EY, Deloitte, KPMG, and PwC — our students achieved an 86.66% placement rate. Furthermore, 100% of BTG’s Sophomores applying to internship programs at Boston Consulting Group (Growing Future Leaders) and McKinsey & Company (Sophomore Summer Business Analyst) received an offer!

Non-Consulting Placement:

At BTG, we encourage and support our students to pursue career paths that they are passionate about, regardless of the industry. Thus, in addition to consulting, BTG students are heading to finance, tech, HR, and many other roles across various industries and functions.

Where our students accepted offers to:

Accenture, Apple, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Capital One, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, EY, EY Parthenon, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, RSM, and more!

We asked our students:

  • On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you agree with the following statement: “I felt supported by BTG Consulting during my recruitment process.” Average answer: 8.97
  • On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you agree with the following statement: “I had access to all of the resources I needed to be successful.” Average answer: 9.03
  • On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you agree with the following statement: “I could not have received an offer without the support of BTG.” Average answer: 7.39

How we achieved these outcomes:

BTG’s unparalleled case prep program, peer network, and professional advisors, in addition to an organization-wide commitment to excellence and outstanding students who are not afraid to work hard, have allowed us to achieve these incredible results.

So, what is next for BTG?

  • Opening the BTG Success Fund: BTG aims to give away $150,000 in BTG student scholarships, student support funding, and client implementation funds over the next two years! The BTG Success Fund is where our students come to clear their student debt and access funding for anything they need to be successful — suits, tutoring, relief funding, etc — and where our clients come to obtain the capital needed to implement our strategic recommendations!
  • Launching BTG Next: This new initiative is designed to support our students after they have accepted an internship or full-time job offer! BTG Next will partner with companies to provide free Deferred MBA Admissions Prep, free GMAT tutoring, and relocation support for our students. BTG Next will also help students explore other possible career opportunities.
  • In-Person Retreat: The #BTGFamily is excited to host our first in-person retreat in May 2022! Our students will network with each other, meet representatives from companies, and have a weekend filled with fun, smiles, and learning!
  • Welcoming BTG Cohort #3: Applications to join BTG Cohort #3 are now open! We are excited to welcome ~70 new students to the #BTGFamily in January 2022! This cohort will play an integral role in the continued success of our organization.
  • Magnifying our impact: BTG and our students are making waves! We hope to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of our organization. With humility, pride, and determination, we will have a profound impact on the diversification of the business community and move closer towards closing the racial wealth divide!

BTG’s journey has been quite remarkable. The #BTGFamily and I are fully committed to magnifying our impact and creating great opportunities for students and recruiters alike. Again, my deepest gratitude goes out to all of BTG’s students, supporters, and everyone who has been silently cheering BTG on in the background. We are forever thankful for your unwavering support.

With great appreciation,

Devon Triplett
